ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರೊ. ಯು.ಆರ್ ರಾವ್ (ಉಡುಪಿ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರ ರಾವ್) ಅವರು ದಿ. 19-12-2011ರಂದು ಸಾಗರದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಗುಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ LB ಕಾಲೇಜ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು...

ಸತತ ೨ ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡಿದರು..

ಭೂಮಿ,ಉಪಗ್ರಹ,ಸೌರಮಂಡಲ ಹಾಗು ಇನ್ನು ಹತ್ತು ಹಲವಾರು ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಆಳವಾಗಿ ನಮೆಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಂಥಹ ಮಹಾನ್ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 3 ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಕಳೆದಿದ್ದೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ..

ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಸ್ಟು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವಾದ್ರು ಸಾಕಸ್ಟು ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲೇ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರು. ಇದು ಒಂದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಸಂಗತಿ..

LCD ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಚಿತ್ರಣಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.,

ಒಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾರತ ಕಂಡ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಶ್ರೀ "ಪ್ರೊ. ಯು.ಆರ್ ರಾವ್" ಅವರು ಎನ್ನುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಮಾತಿಲ್ಲ.!!

Prof. U.R.Rao was Attended a Program in LB & SBS College,Sagar On 19-12-2011.

He gave a wonderful lecturer about science to Students And Teachers.

He gave Useful lecture to the students and teachers upto 2 hours..

They thought about universe,satellites,solar system.. etc,

I am very glad to spend 3hours with that great person..

they didn't know kannada very perfectly, although he talked in kannada..

they Showed wonderful images of solar system,satellites,etc, through LCD..

Udupi Ramachandra Rao,

(ಉಡುಪಿ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರ ರಾವ್)

popularly known as U. R. Rao is a space scientist and former chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation.

Presently he is the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Physical Research Laboratory at Ahmedabad, which is considered as the cradle of India's Space Program..

Prof Rao was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 1976.

Prof Rao started his career  as a cosmic ray scientist, under the late Dr Vikram Sarabhai, which work he continued at MIT..
